In an effort to build the activity on the board, as well as foster a sense of community and fun, the Okamisan announces the Starlight Teahouse MVP -- Most Valuable Poster (or Patron, if you like) -- Award!

The contest will be held for seven weeks -- from May 10 through June 28. The board member who in the Okamisan's judgment is the best contributor during that period will receive a bag of gourmet tea and goodies.

Criteria for judging will include:

hoshiochaya/type.gif Posting activity and quality. A single thought-provoking message will count for more than a dozen posts that just say "Me too."

hoshiochaya/reporter.gif Recruiting. A present member who brings in new members, who themselves become regular contributors, is very valuable indeed! If you bring a new member in, be sure they tell me who sent them!

hoshiochaya/Coucou35.gif Board contributions. This could include things like starting a new game or activity, sending the Okamisan a few new and cool emoticons, or anything that helps make the Teahouse a fun and lively place.

Good luck to everyone, and have fun!

My apologies for the lateness in announcing the winner of this contest ... the Okamisan has been laid up for a while, but is now recovering!

And the winner is ... a tie! CyberIstari and Seian will share the prize, so both of you should expect a small box of goodies soon. Enjoy.

I continue to hope to build the membership and activity on the board -- perhaps in a few months, we'll have another contest.

Thanks to all our members and contributors for your support.
