Welcome friends!

The Starlight Teahouse is a general interest message board, in operation since 2002 (in this location since 2004), where you may discuss issues, share interesting news, and have fun talking with friends from across the Net and around the world. We also have forums devoted to fandom, writing, and several play-by-forum role-playing games.

A few notes on our policy and practices, for members old and new:

--Anyone may read postings in the open forums. You must be a member and logged in to post or reply to messages.

--All new membership signups are reviewed before approval and posting privileges are granted. If I do not recognize your email address or you have not contacted me previously, your initial posts will be moderated. This policy was put in place to prevent spambots from signing up and putting garbage on the board.

--When engaging in conversation, please do your best to take a polite and civilized tone. While dissenting opinions are welcome here, personal attacks and arrogant attitudes are not. If you wouldn't say it that way in a face to face discussion in a real teahouse, don't say it that way here. Also be aware that younger people may be reading, and choose your words accordingly.

--You are welcome to post advertisements of other boards, sites, games, etc, but please post them in the Bulletin Board forum only. Purely commercial advertising is not allowed, and posting of link-spam is a fast way to be shown the virtual door.

--If you have any questions about the board or its policies, or if you are having a problem with a particular member, please contact the Okamisan (Ayeshalan) by email or private message. We can work together to resolve the situation.
